# Setup & Configuration

This page will help you get started with flashing firmware and configuring your AeroF4 Flight Controller for use with Betaflight, iNav, or ArduPilot. Make sure you have the required USB drivers and tools installed for your operating system before proceeding.

## Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

* A flight controller with at least one free UART port (TX/RX pair)
* A regulated 5V output from the flight controller to power the receiver
* A compatible transmitter module running ELRS 4.x
* The latest ELRS Configurator installed on your PC
* USB-to-UART adapter (For Firmware uprade, not required out of the box)
* Wi-Fi access (for over-the-air updates)
* ELRS Lua script on your transmitter (for non-OpenTX/EdgeTX)
* A soldering iron.
