RTK Injection

RTK corrections can be injected to the module through the autopilot using Mission Planner. This enables high-accuracy operation via an NTRIP server or RTK base station.

Prerequisites

  • Telemetry link between ground station and flight controller

  • Internet-connected PC running Mission Planner

  • Valid NTRIP credentials (if using a public caster)

Configuration Steps

  1. In Mission Planner, go to Config/Tuning > Full Parameter List

  2. Set:

    • GPS_TYPE = 1

    • GPS_INJECT_TO = 1

    • SERIALx_PROTOCOL = 5 (GPS)

  3. Open RTK/GPS Inject from the Initial Setup tab

  4. Enter NTRIP caster details and select the COM port used for telemetry

  5. Click Connect to begin streaming RTCM corrections

  6. Observe the GPS status on the HUD or Status tab:

    • rtkFloat or rtkFixed indicates correction is working

The autopilot forwards RTCM data from the ground station over UART2 to the GNSS module automatically.
