# Introduction

The AeroBuddy is a dedicated hardware SBUS multiplexer designed to simplify pilot training. It creates a robust "Buddy Box" system directly on the drone, eliminating the need for complex linking cables between radios or unreliable wireless trainer protocols.

#### How it Works (Trainer Mode)

In a training scenario, you have two pilots:

1. The Instructor <sub>(Master)</sub>: Has ultimate authority. They can fly the drone or hand over control to the student.
2. The Student <sub>(Slave)</sub>: Can fly the drone only when the Instructor permits.

The AeroBuddy connects both receivers to the drone. The Instructor's <sub>(Master)</sub> receiver controls a "**switch**" (via a PWM signal).

* Switch OFF: AeroBuddy routes the Instructor's signal to the Flight Controller.
* Switch ON: AeroBuddy routes the Student's signal to the Flight Controller.

If the student gets into trouble, the instructor simply flips the switch on their radio to instantly regain full control.
